You can cover by a private car (or minivan) with air conditioning both the Gulfs of the area: the bay of Naples and the bay of Salerno. In that way You can visit Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano.
Pompeii is the most popular Roman town in the world. It is incredible the high level of preservation due to the ash and the pomice stones of the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD that has buried the town for 1500 years.
Divine: this the most used adjective to describe the Amalfi Coast, a coast which stretches from Positano to Vietri sul Mare, and ends at the gates of Salerno. Positano opens, on the west side, the wonderful stage of the Amalfi Coast. It was well defined as vertical village and it really seems to be standing, leaning against the rocky wall, with its multicoloured houses which help each other to climb towards the sky.
Sorrento is lovely town of 16000 inhabitants, situated on a platform of tufa stone of volcanic origin. He gave birth to Torquato Tasso, Italian writer famous sixteenth century.
From the port of Sorrento and catamarans and hydrofoils depart frequently for Capri, Naples and Ischia.
Then back to Your hotel or cruise ship.
