The ACF Fiorentina (Fiorentina Football Association in 1926, Associazione Calcio Fiorentina in 1927 and Florentia Viola in 2002), more commonly known as Fiorentina, is the main football club in Florence, founded August 26, 1926 thanks to the Marchese Luigi Ridolfi Vay da Verrazzano . Since 2002, the club is owned by Diego and Andrea Della Valle.
Throughout its history, it was twice champion of Italy, in 1955-1956 and in 1968-1969.
