Florence lies at the Arno River, surrounded by the picturesque hills of the Tuscan landscape and is the largest and most visited city in Tuscany. The historic centre of Florence belongs to the most beautiful in the world and gave her the reputation as a city of artists. Perhaps you know already the medieval city on the Arno River and you’d like to return or you are curious about the capital of Tuscany with their unique Old Town and its innumerable cultural treasures. In any case it is definitely worth a trip.

You’ll meet our professional English-speaking guide in the prearranged meeting-point, which can be changed according to guests requirements:

Then You’ll go to Accademia Gallery and You’ll visit that for roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes. You can admire Michelangelo’s David statue that stands beneath a rotunda built for it in 1873 when it was moved here from Piazza della Signoria (a copy stands in its place on the square). You’ll move to Duomo (internal visit) that was finished in 1436 by the famous architect Brunelleschi, but also other architects fiddled with it through the ages, and the façade was redone in neo-Gothic style hundreds of years later. You’ll reach Piazza della Signoria that is Florence’s most square built in the 13th and 14th century; Signoria is the name of the political system that governed the city at the time-the Medicis were the signori (lords). You’ll finish this excursion by visiting inside the Basilica of Santa Croce, world’s largest Franciscan church. The Basilica boasts some Giotto frescoes. Within the convent compound you can also admire the 15th century Cappella Pazzi, a wonderful example of early Renaissance architecture by Brunelleschi.
